Feels like an age since I have put pen to paper and reached out to you all and remember the sunshine flooding through the window and the possibilities of Summer was in the air when we chatted about the permission to slow down and enjoy a slower pace in the sunshine. I hope you were able to do just that. I had a lovely 3 week break in August, an extension that was thrust upon me rather than a conscious decision due to a passport that had ran out and the need to change holiday dates due to that (note to self – check passports earlier than 6 days before boarding date 😉).
I love September and the feeling of a fresh start having enjoyed a much slower pace over the Summer. When kids go back to school, summer holidays are complete, we tend to turn our attention to ourselves. With that, I have had an influx of new clients wanting to improve their health, hormones and tackle those unwanted symptoms that are impacting their happiness.
Every conversation the last couple of weeks with women enquiring about my services, can be summed up in these 6 words:
- Nourished
- Balanced
- Regulated
- Strong
- Energised
- Fuelled
Not asking for much are we? When we are nourished, balanced, regulated, feel strong, energised and fuelled we are unstoppable. Imagine feeling that vibrant and energised! Imagine feeling that confident in your own skin glowing with health. When was the last time you felt like that? Autumn is a time to dial into how we are truly feeling and start making small but significant changes to our diet and lifestyle that can provide significant gains to achieve the absolute achievable – a happier and brighter you.
That’s what I support my clients to do, not an overhaul. When you don’t feel your best, the last thing you need is a long list of changes you must do that are difficult to stick to.
Start small is the aim and build on those habits one step at a time.
- You don’t drink enough water? - Add in an extra glass first thing before your cuppa.
- You want to be more active? – Carve out 20 minutes somewhere in your day and go out for a brisk walk.
- You want to cut out the sugar? – Swap the dairy chocolate for a good quality dark chocolate.
Doing the small steps that provide easy gains builds momentum and gives you a feeling of accomplishment building confidence. When you feel that you’re respecting your body, you will find this builds bridges for better choices throughout the day.
So if you don’t know where to start, always start with easy wins. Write a list of what you feel you need more of to get you feeling more energised and nourished with one action to get you started ❤️
